Parks Week Partners
The Magical Park Challenge is proudly supported by GEO AR Games
Our challenge is to create 100 Magical Parks across New Zealand and Australia, providing families of all backgrounds the opportunity to enjoy their local parks in a fun and unique way.
NZ Recreation Association and Parks and Leisure Australia, supported by GEO AR Games (developers of Magical Park ) are looking to partner with Councils to make this a reality.
We are close to 100 parks signed up so we now have extensive coverage across AUS and NZ. Hurry though as registrations close FRIDAY 24TH FEBRUARY
It is a fairly straightforward process to get up and running.
- Register here on the Magical Parks website
- Include the Google map link of desired location (s) - requires a min area of 40x40m diameter
- We load the park location into our system which then virtually creates a magical park
- You will be notified once created to go out and test (2 -3 days time)
- We request a vector logo to design the signage for you to print
- We provide promotional tools to market out through your usual Council channels.
Costs for the 2 week period are $150 for an initial park and $100 for the 2nd Park. A one year licence is $2500 per Park.

What is a Magical Park?
Magical Park turns a normal urban city park into a digital fantasy land playground. Utilising a mobile device and the Magical Park app, Councils can transform underutilised spaces or playgrounds into an exciting and engaging world for kids and families to explore. Creating a blended virtual world seen through the app once they enter the boundaries of the magical park.
Now available at 9 parks across NZ. Watch the video to see it in action
