The Outdoor Adventure Challenge is a day for families to spend time together finding out about some of the great outdoor spaces, community and sporting facilities located around the City of Holdfast Bay, and to try some fun free activities and challenges together.
The inaugural Outdoor Adventure Challenge was held in February 2015 and was attended by over 100 children and their families. The event received really positive feedback with 92% of children and parents saying they had a great day. We would like to build on this event for 2016 and encourage more local and visiting families to get involved.
The 2016 event is being held from 10am to 2pm on Sunday 6 March. Over the day families will be encouraged to make their way around to the challenges located at parks and facilities around the Council region.
At each challenge location there will be a special question to answer or an adventure activity to complete and mark off in their Outdoor Adventure Challenge Passport. These challenges could range from creating pieces of nature art to learning how to play a new sport.
Registrations for the 2016 event will open in January 2016. We would like to thank our 2016 event sponsors: Step Into Life Brighton Nature Play SA Carusos Fresh Foods Brighton Bowling Club William Kibby V.C. Veterans Shed The Bike Station
