Woodlands Walk

  • Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria, Cranbourne Gardens Corner Botanic Drive and Ballarto Road Cranbourne (map)

Join us on 15 March, 2018 at our annual Woodland’s Walk as we celebrate 10 years promoting literacy, nature and exploration for young children at the beautiful Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria, Cranbourne Gardens. Proudly promoted by City of Casey and Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria.

Start your adventure walk at the Woodland’s Walk entrance any time between 9.30am and 11.00am. Play activities along the path will end at 11.30am, followed by an indigenous smoking ceremony at Woodland’s Playground at 11.40am.

As families and children walk down the Woodland’s Walk track they will encounter a number of engaging activities based around the book ‘We’re Going on a Croc Hunt’ by Laine Mitchell and Louis Shea. The book centres on themes of exploration, wonder, and the sensory qualities of different Australian landscapes. When children reach the end of the walk at the Woodland’s Walk playground children will be invited to participate in a number of activities including City of Casey waterwall.
